Rather, we consider FGT as one of the tools that can find application within theoretical sexology. We will examine such applications in detail, initially focusing on the theory of sexual orientation. Our work takes up the remarkable article <em><a href=\"https:\/\/philpapers.org\/archive\/DEMWIS.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">What is sexual orientation<\/a><\/em> (2016) by Robin Dembroff as a starting point. Our use of Dembroff is not so much based on agreement with the conclusions of that article. However, Dembroff (2016) did demonstrate in remarkable detail and depth how gender theory can be applied to the theory of sexual orientation.
